Ciska Heida

Ciska Heida is Associate Professor at the department of Biomedical Signals & Systems of the University of Twente. Her group combines computational modeling and experimental research to gain insight into the central mechanisms of human motor control and motor disorders such as Parkinson’s disease to improve existing and develop novel therapeutic neuromodulation methods and/or tools to provide them effectively. Adaptive deep brain stimulation forms the main topic of research within the INTENSE project.
