Maxime Verwoert has a background in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. After graduation, she joined Nick Ramsey’s lab at the UMC Utrecht, mainly collecting functional MRI and electrocorticography data. In March 2021 she started her PhD at Maastricht University as part of INTENSE. She will be focusing on decoding speech in real-time for eventual application in paralyzed individuals who have lost the ability to speak.
