We are excited to announce that the upcoming INTENSE plenary meeting on October 5-6 will take place at the Trippenhuis in Amsterdam! All INTENSE consortium members are cordially invited to join our yearly meeting. For this event, registration is mandatory (the registration link can be found in the invitation - for more information, e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. Once a year, the INTENSE consortium gets together to discuss our plans and developments, attend our user committee meetings in person and (re)connect with our colleagues. This year, there will be presentations from Work Packages A-I and their crossover collaborations. As an added bonus, Chong Xie (Rice University) will talk about Pushing limits of neural electrodes for intracortical recording and stimulation. We will also gain insight into the patient’s perspective of epilepsy (by Oscar Eelkman Rooda) and the experience of Parkinson’s Disease with DBS (by Gerlach Roomans). Our PhDs/Postdocs will show their recent findings during the poster presentations. And last but not least, there will be two keynote presentations: Targeted brain network stimulation for brain disorders by Dirk de Ridder and Implanted neurotechnologies to restore neurological functions by Grégoire Courtine & Jocelyne Bloch. In the attachment, you can find the detailed preliminary program.
We hope this year it will be possible for the whole consortium to gather at the plenary meeting after the last few years of uncertainty due to COVID, and we are very much looking forward to seeing you all!
